Club History
Newcastle United were founded in 1892 and have played at St James' Park since 1892. The ground, dramatically situated in the city centre, holds 52,000. The club has never won the Premier League but came close in 1996 under Kevin Keegan. Alan Shearer is their greatest ever player and still the Premier League's all-time top scorer. Saudi Arabian consortium ownership since 2021 has reinvigorated the fanbase and delivered a return to Champions League football.
