Club History
AFC Bournemouth were founded in 1899 and spent decades in the lower divisions. Their extraordinary rise under Eddie Howe saw them climb from near-extinction in League Two in 2008 to the Premier League in 2015. They have become a Premier League regular despite having one of the smallest stadiums in the top flight. The Vitality Stadium, a tight, atmospheric ground, holds a special place in lower-league football history.
